The Red Jacket Jamboree returns to the Calumet Theatre on July 18th with guest singer/songwriter Jana Nyberg!
Experience the magic of a live radio show as The Red Jacket Jamboree returns to the historic Calumet Theatre on July 18th! Be part of a live studio audience for the recording of episodes #65 and #66, “Sun, Moon and Stars” and “Yooper-heroes.” Hosted by Lena Dorey and two-time U.P. Poet Laureate Martin Achatz, the Red Jacket Jamboree shares songs, stories, music and history from the Copper Country and beyond.
Featured performer is jazz vocalist and musician Jana Nyberg, an American Idol alumna known for her infectious energy and soulful sound. Joining her will be the Copper Cats, the show’s fabulous stage band featuring renowned jazz pianist Bill Carrothers and master guitarist Jerry Younce, Cooper Luedtke on bass and Eddie Carrothers on drums.
The evening also features storyteller Charles Eshbach, a legendary Keweenaw photographer and wilderness guide with over forty years of expertise. Rounding out the performers is the a cappella group “Daybreak,” the 2026 Sing United International Region 17 Champion a cappella quartet.
Don’t miss your opportunity to attend this unique cultural event at the iconic Calumet Theatre. Doors open at 6:30pm, Show starts at 7pm. There will be a short intermission between the recording of 2 one hour episodes.
