Step Back Into History
Did you know that our theater is one of three operating theaters in the National Park Service? Learn about that and more when you join us on our guided tour! When you take a tour of the Theatre, know that you are getting a true, personal experience with a knowledgeable and experienced tour guide. Each tour takes approximately 2 hours, though depending on how much you’re willing to learn, it can take as little as 90 minutes or up to 2 1/2 hours, with a very rare few going up to 3 hours in length.
You will get to see every aspect of the Theatre, from discussing the history of Calumet/Red Jacket, to the stage, down into our dressing rooms, or even up into the 2nd balcony and our beloved ballroom. Come and learn about the history of the Theatre, about what shows we have had in years past, and about projects, both past and current. There are a lot of stairs to climb, so please be prepared. We will be climbing up and down approximately three flights of stairs throughout the course of the tour. Tour staff will do their best to accommodate patrons with mobility limitations. Persons with mobility limitations wishing to do a group tour will only be able to visit the main auditorium and the 2nd floor/ballroom. Children under 6 are free with the admission of a paid adult.

To offer a more in-depth tour experience and utilize our volunteer tour guides’ time we will not be offering walk-up guided tours. All guided tours must be booked either online (clickable, or QR code below) or by emailing techdirector@calumettheatre.com. All tours are subject to a 24 hour cancellation policy, which can be viewed during checkout.
